Fees*: 300 $ USD

The Get started session is free of charge for the attendees of the Renewable Energy training

*A 5% fee is applied for credit card payments

The objective of this training is to get familiar with the usage of EMT-type software and the study of power-system transients. How to model power-systems, what scenarios to run and how to interpret and verify results are as many questions that will be addressed. The software EMTP is used for demonstrating concepts and teaching through practical cases. Prior experience with EMTP is not required.

This training will start before Renewable Energy: Grid integration studies. You are able to register separately to those courses.

The Get started session is free of charge for the attendees of the Renewable Energy training

Training structure:

The duration of the training is 1 days.
The training starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. every day.
Lunch breaks are from noon to 1:00 p.m.
The training is presented in English.

Computer and temporary EMTP-RV license:

Each participant will have to bring a personal computer. EMTP-RV temporary licenses will be provided for the duration of the course.

Mr. Henry GRAS

Henry Gras received the M.A.Sc. degree from Polytechnique Montréal, Canada in 2014. Since then, he has been working as a research associate at Polytechnique Montréal where he is engaged in research and development activities related to time-domain simulation of power systems.
He is also currently working at PGSTech as a developer of the ElectroMagnetic Transient Program (EMTP).
