National Workshop on Power Electronics Application to Power Systems

August 11th, 2017

Vellore, INDIA

The workshop is full

This workshop is organized by the Department of Energy and Power Electronics School of Electrical Engineering, VIT University
The workshop is focused on helping young researchers to gain innovative idea and to advance the possibilities for Power Electronics application to power systems. Due to the increase of renewable energy and DC link, power electronic converters play a more and more important role in the AC network. This course is dedicated to engineers who already knows the funding of power electronics and who wants to improve their knowledge about the different converters, HVDC links, FACTS controller and renewable converters.
All this will be modelled with EMTP-RV which provide numerous and accurate tools to study the connection and the interaction of these devices on the AC grid. The course is based on the usage of EMTP-RV for demonstrating concepts and teaching through practical problem cases.

About The University

VIT University was founded in 1984 as Vellore Engineering College by the Chancellor, Dr. G. Viswanathan.
